1. Choose one traveller from the list. You may choose someone who is not listed, but check with me before you begin your research.

2. Prepare a written project in booklet form. Use a duotang or make a folder.

3. Use a Work Folder to keep all rough work and planning sheets.

4. Include a title page, a resource bibliography, and 6 trivia questions for your traveller which answer the questions - who?, when?, where?, what?, how? and why?

5. This project should be written as a report about the accomplishments of your famous traveller which deals with all of the reporter's questions- Who? When? Where? What? How? and Why?

6. Answer all of the questions briefly and then select 2 questions to answer in greater detail. You may wish to include maps, a model, a flight plan, a captain's log , or other materials to supplement your written work.

7. For the research project, you are encouraged to collect resource information from a variety of sources: newspaper, school library, encyclopedia, magazines, computer encyclopedia, internet. public library.

8. DO NOT COPY FROM ANY SOURCE. Read all the information; then in your own words jot down the main points which you wish to remember. After you have collected all the information on a specific topic from several sources, then organize your work in complete sentences and paragraphs. Do not include computer printouts as part of your work.

9. Complete your research project with illustrations and appropriate clippings from the newspaper. Make your finished project both informative and attractive.
