1) Choose one of the following explorers to research. You will need to document from at least four sources using a bibliography form at the end of the report. You can use encyclopedias, library books, internet, magazines, and your social studies book!! Highlight the explorer you would like to research. If you work in a team, have each person initial their part of the report. Your report will need to be one to two pages long plus one or two illustrations and the bibliography....................................50 pts

Include in the first paragraph: Where your explorer is from, if possible a brief description, any family background, and religious information, any thing personal about your explorer.

Include in the second paragraph: Any information on the type of boat/ship and anything about their crew. Calculate the distance your explorer traveled from their starting point to their discovery point. Estimate how long you think your explorer traveled.

Include in the third paragraph: What supplies did they /or do you think they carried on their ship. What hardships do you think they faced on their journey? Where were the supplies stored? And in what type of containers.

Final paragraph: How do you think your explorer felt when they sighted and found land? What do you think would be the first thing they wanted to do when they put their feet on land? How do you think they felt when they knew they had to sail back to their homeland? What would be your feelings if you were on the ship?

Add your bibliography and one or two illustrations about any ideas in this report. Enclose it in a front and back cover. Trace their route on our map.
