Lots of long words may cause the resulting crossword to be larger than your printed page will allow. This will require some experimentation.
If our crossword generator cannot find a place for a word, it may be dropped, or you may get an error.
We have pre-made word/answer sets. (in case you missed them).
Foreign Characters (accents, etc.) can now be used in the "clue". They cannot be used in the hidden word - yet.
ONLY ALPHANUMERIC CHARACTERS may be used for the 'words'.

Saving Options NEW (By Request) You can save your WORD LIST for later use, or transfer it to other puzzles! Important FAQ Cookies and Javascript must be enabled to use this option. You MUST be using the same computer and browser to access previously saved lists. This option saves your WORD LIST! Be advised: our generators make a new puzzle each time you generate them. Therefore, loading a saved list will not generate a puzzle identical to one made at a previous time, it will only keep you from having to re-enter lists. Click to save to the indicated slot. Click to load a previously saved list. Wordsearches and Scrambles have 1 list. Match-ups and Crosswords have 2 lists. Click to load the second list on a single list puzzle. If you ever delete your browser cookies, all of your saves will be lost. When saving, only the title and word list(s) are saved, no other options will be preserved. WARNING! Adding an image is ONLY for advanced users who:

Have the time to 'tinker' with their puzzle settings.
Understand that this will NOT WORK on all computers.
AGAIN - if you do not have time to mess around with entering an image (which may not work) please don't try to do this.

Currently we have only received negative feedback about this feature, and it will probably be removed in the near future. I can only say that it works great on Vista using IE7.

FAQ's and Troubleshooting

I keep getting errors building the puzzle.
- We have stated the usual causes in the error itself.
- No duplicate words are allowed. Please make sure you don't have duplicate words in your word list.
- The most common error is that the program could not find a place to interesect your word into the puzzle. After 10 tries on a single word, the puzzle will stop checking, and you will get an error.
- If you get the same error after trying to build the puzzle 3 times, please look over your word list closely, starting with your short words. Does each of the small words have a common letter with one of the other words?
- If you can't find the problem word(s), try removing a word at a time.
Images not printing
- We have only verified that this works in Internet Explorer 6 and 7. It does NOT work in Firefox.
- Be sure that you have 'Print background images and colors' in your browser settings.
- If your image is too large, browsers cannot open it and it will not show up.
- Must be the correct type of image. Only jpg, jpeg, png, and gif images are fully supported. If it is a .bmp or .tif, you must convert it to a supported file type.
- Firefox will not print images from your computer on a remote website without changing browser configuration files. Therefore we do not support Firefox.
Can I make a PDF and store this on my computer?
- Yes. This is an option on most computers in the "Print" box that pops up when you print the worksheet
- Find the box that allows you to 'choose your printer'.
- Simply change the 'printer' in that dialog box to "Adobe PDF" (or similar).
- Then choose "Print". You will be given new oprions on "where to save" your new PDF.
Can I put this worksheet on my website? Can I put this worksheet in my book? etc.
