"And Now for the Weather" Grade 4
This is a great WEBQUEST that allows students to better understand the job of a meteorologist. In the procss, they will research local weather, undestand weather terms, and be able to predict weather patterns.
Best Weather Webquest Grades 4-8
Students research the type of weather across the country and decide what location has the "best weather." Upon completion of their research, students use a spread sheet to share their information.
The Cloud in the Bottle Grades 4-12
The purpose to this activity is to demonstrate to the students the direct affects of pressure and temperature on cloud formation.
Clouds Grades 4-6
The Cloud Unit is designed not only to teach the students information about clouds, but also to encourage abstract thinking through writing and painting. The lesson facilitates the use of higher thinking skills and encourages self expression.
Clouds! Clouds! Clouds! Grades 5-6
In this lesson, students will learn about different types of clouds, the levels in which the clouds are classified, and the precipitation associated with them. In groups, students will gather information about clouds from a CD-ROM and then enter the information into a teacher-made database. Students will also use web cams from the Internet to make predictions about weather for cities across the country.
