Ancient History Project

As an end of the unit project, I break students into groups and have them write and perform a newscast. The newscast is set as if it were in the times of the Romans, or Egyptians or whichever it is. They have to have a local story, world story, sports story, weather and other story such as fashion, food or something along those lines. The students are required to dress the part also. For extra credit I would allow them to create commercials advertising an item that would have been helpful for the people in those days. I video tape the groups every year so they can watch themselves and so that the future groups can see what I expect of them.

Review for tests
I created several Jeopardy games with questions from my ancient history units. We play these as a review before their final tests. I can send these as an attachment if anyone is interested. I also have a blank template that could be used for any subject.
