Book Buddies

What are Book Buddies? This is when students in an upper grade (e.g. 4th) pair up with students from a lower grade (e.g. 1st). You will probably want to have at least 2-3 years between the age of the students. The teachers decide how often they want the classes to get together. When they meet, students can do a number of things together:

  • Read books
  • Work on writing projects
  • Create technology-related projects
  • Complete seasonal arts & crafts activities
  • Take part in cooking projects
  • And anything else you may think of!

Below you will find a variety of activities you can use with your Book Buddies!
