We are allowed to dress up for halloween at work this year. :yikes: I want to think of something fun, creative and CHEAP. Last year I did the whole 80's theme. Any ideas??

stop light -- just use a cardboard box and colour it. alternatively, turn the box into a refrigerator....big cardboard boxes can be anything...robot, mailbox, whatever. I saw a kid once who cut the bottom out of a garbage can and wore that with a small hole near the top like in mall garbage containers that said "insert candy here". It was PRICELESS!

for something less bulky (and for a guy), go to a thrift store and buy a wig and a skirt. EVERY kid gets a kick out of seeing a male teacher dressed up as a female!

Since I am assuming you teach English, dress up as your favorite character and have the kids guess who you are. In fact, have all your kids it. It is great fun!

Animals are always fun and easy. You could be something like a dog. Wear brown pants, a brown top, and buy a brown cloth headband. Use felt to make ears and attach them to the headband. You can use facepaint to make yourself a nose and some whiskers. Using other colors can change the animal. For example, pink would be a pig.

This isn't really that creative as it has been done a lot, but it is fun and cheap.

1950s - white t-shirt, jeans rolled up to expose the white socks and loafers. Grease back the hair and carry a comb in the back pocket. You can roll up a fake pack of cigarettes in your sleeve.
