:waving:Good morning. I'm a retired teacher but am very active in my association here in Texas.
My latest concern is for a teacher who has been falsely accused of iinjuring a student. What a nightmare this is for this friend! This is the 2nd teacher that I personally know who has been accused within the last year, so how many more are out there? These accusations have ruined the careers and lives of these dedicated teachers.
Please encourage all active teachers, even subs, to have liability insurance. They can obtain it through their active or retired teacher association or through their homeowners insurance. If they are questioned by the police, they should first contact their attorney (the one through their insurance).
Please comment if you have any information.
