Reader Response Journals

Just wondering if anyone here uses Reader Response Journals. I use them, but was wondering if and how other people use them. Looking for new ideas.

I use them! This is a big part of my reading class. It is amazing how many curriculum standards you can address using Reader Response Journals, and it allows freedom of choice and flexibility for learning styles. I just purchased a book, Independent Reading Inside the Box by Lisa Donohue that I would like to incorporate into my response journaling activities. I haven't had the chance to read it yet, but at a glance, it has some good ideas.
