State: Indiana - Northwest (Yes, that does matter.)
Type of School: Childcare Center (It is private as in not a Head Start.)
Climate/Atmosphere: Low turnover in comparison with other centers in the area. Good working enviroment. Great director and leads. Assistants and cos are okay.
Salery: Around minimum wage. A little higher than that...
Oppertunity of Applying: You have a good chance of being hired at any childcare center. Most have high rates of turnover. Ours is less, but there are still regular openings for one reason or another.

I teach in a public school in Michigan
The district (administration)is very supportive but the atmosphere differs in each building. The high school is so big many of the teachers feel that they do not know each other.
Starting salary for a new teacher with a Bachelor's is about $37,000 with small increases every year.
It is hard to get a job in this district. Since we don't usually lay teachers off, and we have had as many as 600 applicants for one job, once you're in, you usually stay until you retire. The district has a good reputation, and take in many School of Choice students from neighboring districts.
