Just to introduce myself, I am an aspiring teacher. I graduated from college this past year with an economics major but eventually want to get my teaching credentials to teach high school economics! ^_^
Well I came up with an idea to consolidate and collect all the knowledge and information of teachers and students around the country so that any student can log in to watch teachers/students alike explaining a concept in different ways.
For example, student A can login to the website, search for "Pythagorean Triangle" and a list of videos (uploaded from different people) would pop up describing it in their own words. So in a sense, it's as if a student can learn a confusing topic that he/she heard at school from different perspectives.
So my question now would be... how much of you teachers would be willing to upload videos for free ( no compensation for your time) or would monetary compensation be required?
(keep in mind students will most likely have to pay $5/month for access to this site, for site maintenance/upkeep/server costs)
I want to know if this idea is feasible before getting into it completely.. I feel this would remove the barrier of the walls of the classroom for education to be spread..
thanks for any of your input in advance. I will truly appreciate it.
