I am writing a paper on why it is beneficial to be at a childs level. I am not a teacher yet I am a student in my first quarter of early childhood head(shooting for a BA, and perhaps an MA in ed) I am having a hard time with this research. I am mainly looking for opinions and maybe examples, things of that nature that will prove or disprove this theory. So, if anyone out there could give me a hand I would really appreciate it! I am a struggling student!!

I always sit on the rug with the children, sink down to talk with them, and eat lunch in the little chairs. I do this because I don't want to be intimidating. Towering over a child limits communication. It makes eye contact, facial expression interpretation, and hearing tones difficult.

For me, it is a respect thing.

You know when they tell parents with active little crawlers and toddlers to get down on their hands and knees to look at things from a babies level? It's more or less the same thing. What do they see from their vantage point? Is it overwhelming, under stimulating, etc. When you sit in their chairs from different points in the room, you can make adjustments to seating plans, board perspective, presentations, all that good stuff because you are seeing it through their eyes. It's about making a connection for and with the learner. If you can't put yourself in their place, your teaching will suffer for it!

Dear friends help!
I am having a great problem organizing myself these days .It is getting very difficult to for me to coop up with school and my personal life ,as my co -teachers are not shouldering the responsibilities we have to share together. I make worksheets and then assessments ,plus I am doing the outside boards too.Even if I provide them the prepared material they take so much time to put it up . Please help me to sort things out . I don't want to involve my head.

Being at a childs level to me sounds like thinking like a child. If that is were this is going it is important to remember what it was like as a child. Expectations are high now a days. I always try to put myself in my students shoes. It seems to help.
