HI,
I have an assignment this week that requires intervieweing a middle school or high school teacher about how they organize classroom time/divide time between subjects.
I need to know what grade level you are teaching, how many subjects/units you cover each day and week, how much time you spend on each ( daily or weekly), and what type of intrcution you use ( textbook, oral, hands on). For example, say you cover x number of reading lessons a week, x number of those being with group reading, x number being with individual reading. something like that.
I would really appreciate if anyone were willing/able to help with this; just a quick little run down on how you fit it all in :)
Thanks,
Heather Bessent

Heather,
I'd be happy to help you, but I teach at a voc. tech. school, and the way we do things is a little bit different. I teach 9th and 10th grade English (Language Arts) and 10th grade Spanish. If you want to interview me, just let me know.

I teach 7th grade language arts. I have four classes per day. We cover six units per year. They range from 4 weeks to 9 weeks in length. The introduction varies depending on the unit. I do not have any required numbers of items to complete each week.
