Anyone ever homeschooled their kids or others? Any good resources? Any ideas on where to start?
I would start with the legalities. Where I am, you have to notify the local school board in writing that you are homeschooling, or you may get truancy officers on your butt.
Then I would suggest developing your curriculum. What, at the end of the homeschooling experience, does your child or children need to know or be able to do? how will you get them from nothing to meeting those goals? Break it down by year, then break each year down into skill sets that build on each other.
For me, the great thing about homeschooling would be to design a curriculum tailored for my child. If you intend to work from an established curriculum, there are homeschooling associations out there to find out more about.

I'd obtain a list of your state's standards, any requirements for homeschoolers, and gather literature about your local community.
You can choose to teach the concepts however you want, but I think it is helpful to know what your child is required to know. If he/she does transition into the public schools or college, this will help.
Learning about one's own community is something I feel is important. A homeschooler can really explore this and experience some great stuff.
