I am conducting a survey as part of a PhD dissertation research study and need secondary teachers with experience using digital learning objects for the study. The purpose of the study is to describe how secondary instructors in the United States are using digital learning objects (digital resources that have the ability to be reused to support learning) in the classroom. The information from this study may lead to further research into best practices in the use of digital learning objects in secondary classrooms.
It is important that the research data be collected from secondary instructors like you with some experience in teaching – at least five years – and experience in using digital learning objects – more than five different digital learning objects used in a school year - and that is why I have chosen to post to forums that are likely to attract this type of educator. Through their experiences with teaching and using digital learning objects instructors are able to provide insights into the types of instructional strategies that provide an effective learning experience when using digital learning objects in secondary classrooms.
I have created an online survey for participants at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=3blgYmAMr4eqCoJBA8Cvfg_3d_3d so that responses remain confidential. By logging on with the password: xlm25am and completing the online survey, you will be giving permission for your responses to be used in the research study. The survey is estimated to take 20-30 minutes of your time.
Thank you for taking the time to read this posting and responding to the online survey. If you wish to see a summary of the results of this online survey, please email me at tlooser@bright.net and I will send you a copy. Any questions concerning the research project, participants can contact Dr. Sonja Irlbeck, faculty advisor for this project, at 225 South 6th Street, 9th Floor, Minneapolis, MN 55402, 888-227-3552, ext. 6124, or the Capella University Institution Review Board, Capella University, 225 South 6th Street, 9th Floor, Minneapolis, MN 55402, 888-227-3552.
Thank you for your cooperation.
