My husband and I are both long-time teachers who recently quit our jobs in order to ride our bicycles from Alaska to Argentina with our 10-year-old twin boys. We left from the Arctic Ocean on June 8 and are now in Missoula, Montana - we've pedaled over 3000 miles so far.
Even though we "quit" teaching, we can't seem to give it up, so we are hoping to teach via the internet while on the road. We're blogging about our experiences and posting tons of photos. I think it would be a fantastic way to teach geography - I would be using the journey a lot if I was in the classroom this year!
Anyway, I thought I'd throw this out there in case any of you want to use it with your class. You can find us at www.familyonbikes.org
