New teacher I need to vent!

I just started working at this new school in the worst neighborhood. I have no support and the literacy coach who is suppose to help me has a big ego and is very cold and mean. I am very hesitant to got to her with anything.

I need help with teacher college spelling inventory.

I would say go to her and ask for her help. She is there to help you and your students. I hope it gets better for you! :-D

Use that ego to your benefit! Tell her you need her expertise and then grovel with appreciation. You both get what you want. You don't even have to like her, but she doesn't have to know that.;)

I agree with dsmms. Make nice with her, feed her ego. Remember why you are there. It is for the kids. Even though she might think it all for her, you know the real reason. Schmooz her!
