I specify the state because the stress of teaching state standards and there's no time to teach anything else :laugh:
This upcoming year will be my 4th year teaching. I taught just reading and writing my first two years at a school were I wasn't challenged. The last two years I taught fourth grade at a great school. However, I am teaching 2nd again because I love the grade level, too and I finally got in a the school I've always wanted to teach at that is luckily 5 minutes away from my home. So no more commute. Okay so that's my background.
Now, my questions/requests:
*A sample daily lesson or unit for each subject (reading, writing, s.s., science, math).
*Great lesson plan websites without too many frills of crafts and worksheets. I want/need to have hands-on engaging learning, but not so much crafty stuff that takes forever. I also love integrating subjects!
*Your plan/Idea of how you manage and execute your reading groups/literacy circles
*And I'd like a sample schedule of your day
Anyone and everyone that helps me you are deeply deeply deeply appreciated! I'm not an idiot who doesn't know how to do for myself, but maybe I'm not alone and sometimes you just want a glance at how others do it to get the wheels rolling. :idontknow:
