I am teaching summer school (5th and 6th) and need some really exciting science experiments for Thinking Green and energy conservation along with water and air conservation.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Just from a Google search I found something called Enviro Battery, which is a kit that uses various natural materials to power lightbulbs and some other stuff.
The one review I saw said it was a good product. Might be worth looking into.

Build a terrarium. I haven't been an elementary teacher in several years, but I recall having my students build a terrarium that we sealed over with plastic wrap. As water evaporated from the terrarium, it would condense on the interior side of the plastic wrap and drip back onto the soil. This was a demonstration of the water cycle.
Since the cost of heating water is a major household expense, build a solar water heater. Here is a lesson plan:

Purify water using an evaporation/condensation process:

Check with your local Soil and Water Conservation Society group (http://www.swcs.org/) and Natural Resources Conservation Service (http://www.swcs.org/). I've mostly used their soil stuff, but they've got good water stuff too.

I don't but I sure need some. I just took a math science specialist job and have never taught science. If anyone has good elementary science lab activities I would be so grateful.
