While a member of another forum, I helped to organize a summer "get together" way back in 1998 in Cherokee, north Carolina. I met some extra special people. One of them was Chef Dave. He joined us all the way from Saudi Arabia!

It was a fun time, one I still remember well.

Well....I wonder if anyone on this forum would be in favor of such an endeavor on teacher corner?????

Not this summer, I'm too busy. I have to take an SEI English immersion workshop before July. I have to take a state test on knowledge of secondary instruction. I have to take a class on the Arizona Constitution ... and just to make everything really peachy ... my CTE director gave me outdated student competency checklists which I will now have to spend the summer redoing ...

Tomorrow, I will find out if I won CEDAR teacher of the year. If I do, I also win a trip to Myrtle Beach. I know some of you live close to that area and I would love to meet up for lunch.

I'm doing classes this summer and working at a center. I'd love to come, but I don't think I can. Let me know the details though. Maybe I can work something out.
