I just had to share this.

I have been running a workshop for children at a special needs school. They had disabilities from autism to down-syndrome. Some kids are in care, and were abused as young children.

The workshop was to get them to make a film. They came up with the idea, mad the props, acted and filmed it. We just supervised.

It was amazing. For 2 solid days they concentrated and worked very hard. They made some very good stuff too.

And they were really good at making sure everyone was included. There were some people there who don't go to the school, so didn't know anyone. But the older ones made sure everyone was looked after. It really was so amazing to see. We are doing it again in the summer.

This sounds wonderful. I had an aunt with downs. She lived to be 42. I learned a lot from her. We could all learn alot from these kids.

That is so great. I visited a special needs program the other day, and it was amazing to see the children play together. Some of them were just so sweet.

I have two special needs children in one of my classes. They are a joy everyday and the other students look forward to seeing them also.
