BTIO - Child Development class

Is there any teachers who use the BTIO simulator in class as an actual grade? I would like to see some samples or suggestions on how to grade the baby project.

Has anyone had any problems with the babies malfunctioning?

Does anyone have any ideas for an alternative assignment if the student fails the baby simulation?
