Hi Everyone,
I am a first time infant/toddler teacher and I am having a hard time with my co-teacher. We have totally opposite personalities and she does not feel it is her "job" to train me. I do not either but I was placed in her room because my bosses wanted me to work with a teacher that has experience and can help me out. So far all I have heard are negative comments. It is becoming really tense between us and I don't even want to go to work most days now. I never imagined this happening especially not my first year of teaching. My boss won't transfer me until the end of the year and I really don't know what else I can do to improve our work relationship. We have even done some team building activities to try and fix things but it seems to have made her defensive. Does anyone have any advice??? Please and Thank you!
