Anyone else have SCD kids that they are having to submit an Alternate Assessment on??

Not this year, thankfully. Next year I'll have two.

What is SCD? I do have three for whom I have to submit an alternate assessment. We are ALL so sick of videotaping.

SCD is Significantly Cognitively Delayed. Only the students with SCD qualify for the Self Contained Life Skills Room. None of my parents will allow pictures/taping.. so its the paperwork route for me..

Are the acronyms different in EVERY state?! *sigh* Thanks for filling me in. I teach in a private school and luckily we're allowed to use video and pictures as well as permanent product (we don't get much of that) and graphs to show progress. I wish we were allowed to test on IEP goals, though, instead of trying to teach a watered-down and largely meaningless version of the standards of learning.

I have completed all of the math objectives on the Alternate Assessment, I have a few more in language and MANY MANY more in science... Apparently my Special needs kids who can barely write... have to do a research paper... This should be fun!
