Here is my idea- but I need some suggestions. I am thinking about having some sort of cute clip art in a decorative can- one child will draw from the "Rhyme Can"- then we will learn/say that rhyme- I need a better way to remember and to implement a rhyme a day-not as an activity-but so that children will learn to hear rhymes.

That sounds like a cute idea. IF you have a few minutes you could pull out your can/tin for some "Rhyme Time"
Bucket: Jack and Jill
Cow: Little Boy BLue
Egg with face: Humpty Dumpty

Love the idea of "real concrete objects" I saw some nursery rhyme fabric at Wal-Mart- I'll make a nursery rhyme mystery bag.

That is a great idea. Do you need ideas of nursery rhymes or pictures? I would suggest having large copies of the text and large picture for the rhyme. This will help to get students learning ideas of print (left to right, top to bottom). Also, maybe keep the same rhyme for the week, that way you don't need as many and students will really learn the rhyme.
