Christmas is over, New Years is not yet here.
Have you taken down your decorations?
If not when?
My birthday is New Year's day (pits :( ) so my goal is to have Christmas put away by then. n
How about you?

I never put up decorations. I did last year when I lived in Pennsylvania and hosted 25 seminary students for Christmas dinner ... but I've been too busy with my new job to really get to know anyone. Christmas was quiet and peaceful - which made for a nice change from the hectic rush of getting dinner ready and wrapping final presents because the youth pastor had forgotten to tell me that 3 more students were coming ...
Happy New Year and Birthday to you!
I thought my sister had it bad. She was born eight days before Christmas and always felt cheated out of her special day.

Taken down the decorations? Hubby does the decorating and he still puts up things after Christmas Day. I do the letters/cards, wrapping, and lots of the shopping. I usually wonder if I should make pink, red, and white hearts to put up in time for Valentine's Day, but he gets his act together before then.

We live in a condo, and they have strict rules about when decorations come down...so we can't leave them up outside. Inside, they come down by Epiphany, which is when the season ends :-)
At school, they are already taken down and put away.

I changed out school decorations the last day. We have parties the day before the last day so on the very last day it is very low key. The students watched a movie and I changed bulletine boards ect. :)

I will be taking school decorations down tomorrow... last day of "real" vacation day. At home, we took down our decorations on Dec. 29th. This year's tree was the worst ever for dropping needles. We are definitely thinking of artificial now for the new house.
Ours start going up the first Sunday in Advent with the aadvent wreath. I add a little every week with the tree going up last before Christmas. Everything comes down the weekend after Epiphany.

I know one thing is for sure...I am not ready to go back to work. I have enjoyed my time off playing with my dogs and spending time with my fiance. (sp) But I have to go back to work tomorrow :(:(

It's the middle of January and we still have our tree up :o We've been so busy that it just hasn't gotten taken down yet. My goal is to have it done this weekend :D Wish me luck! :p
With so many little ones, I am surprised you were able to get one up. ;)
Next year put red and white lights on and kep it up through valentines day. Or put blue and white lights on and keep it up all through the winter. That will buy you time.
