My son had an orthodontist appointment last week. The dr office is about an hour from here, so I took the morning off to take him. My daughter can't be at school before 8:00, so I dropped her off and we hit the road. Since we got to town about 30 minutes early, we stopped by the craft store to look for 4-H projects. The craft store is next door to Staples and they had about 6 shopping carts sitting out front with Clearance signs on them.
1 1/2" three ring binders - $.25
5 packs of posterboard - $.25
small dry erase boards - $.50
25 pack of Bic pens - $.25
craft scissors - $.50
markers (4 pk) - $.25
Science Fair foam core board displays - $1.00
I cleaned them out. Good thing I drove the truck. I always have kids that don't have a notebook (I require them in class, but we are 35 minutes from Walmart, so sometimes it takes a while). What teacher can't use pens and markers? I ended up with 5 huge bags of stuff for $27. I will sell the notebooks to kids that need them and we will use everything else.
