Do you have any recipies that don't require baking? Besides the gingerbread house. I do not have access to a stove, and we cannot bring in food from home.

Do you have an electric portable coil burner? You can buy one at Target for $29.99. Do you have access to a refrigerator? Most faculty lounges seem to have a refrigerator.

Here is a recipe called "White Christmas"

Ingredients:

* 3 cups - Rice Krispies
* 1 cup - Coconut (dry, shredded)
* ¾ cup - Powdered Milk
* ½ cup - Powdered Sugar
* 2 oz - Mixed Candied Fruit (chopped)
* 2 oz - Red And Green Candied Cherries (chopped)
* ¼ cup - Raisins
* 4.5 oz - White Vegetable Shortening
* 4.5 oz - White Chocolate Chips

Method:

* Brush a 9 x 13" pan with oil.
* Line base and sides with parchment paper.
* Combine Rice Krispies, coconut, powdered milk, powdered sugar and all fruits in a large bowl.
* Chop up the shortening.
* Add the shortening to the chocolate in the top of a double boiler over simmering water.
* Stir until mixture is melted and smooth.
* Combine chocolate and Rice Krispie mixture.
* Press into the prepared pan and refrigerate until set.
* Remove from the pan.
* Allow to stand for 10 minutes.
* Cut into squares with a sharp knife.

I made these cookies with my culinary arts class - though being culinary arts, we disdained the use of peanut butter cookies in favor of baking a sugar cookie base.

I used red frosting for the Santa hats, white butter cream icing for the white fur trim on the hat and a partially melted marshmallow for the pom pom at the end of the hat.

I used white frosting for the eyebrows and made them thick so I could use raisins as eyes. Red skittles were used for the nose.

The beard was made with a mixture of melted butter, marshmallows, and corn flakes.

Be cautioned - when melting marshmallows, keep stirring otherwise they'll burn and your melted marshmallows will turn brown.

Also - use the marshmallow mixture as soon as possible. Once the mixture starts to cool, it won't stick.

I made Rice Krispee treats with the afterschool program with only a microwave. I was able to tie it in with all kinds of measuring and math! :)
The kids loved it, it was fast, and did not require a stove or oven.
