Does anyone know of any good Halloween poems/songs? Preferably about witches, but anything will do.

Thanks.

Below is what I have on hand at the moment. Try Googling the topic. Remember, you can modify anything you find to fit your needs. It usually only means altering a few words.

I hope it is okay that these are fingerplays. You can take out the hand motions in you need to.

Title: Five Little Pumpkins

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.
hold up five fingers
The first one said, "My, it's getting late.
point to first finger
The second one said, "There are witches in the air."
point to second finger
The third one said, "I don't care."
point to third finger
The fourth one said, "We'll have a lot of fun.
Let's run and run and run."
point to fourth finger
"Woo-oo-oo" went the wind.
And out went the light.
clap
And the five little pumpkins rolled right out of sight.
wiggle fingers before making a fist

Title: Jack-O-Lanterns

Five little jack-o-lanterns sitting on a gate.
hold up five fingers
The 1st one said, "It's getting late."
point to finger
The 2nd one said, "I hear a noise."
point to finger
The 3rd one said, "It's only some boys."
point to finger
The 4th one said, "Let's run, let's run."
point to finger
The 5th one said, "It's Halloween fun."
point to finger
Then oooooooo went the wind, and out went the light.
clap hands
And away ran the jack-o-lanterns on Halloween night.
wiggle fingers before making a fist

Title: Five Little Witches

Five little witches, standing by my door.
hold up five fingers
One went to cast a spell, and then there were four.
bend down a finger
Four little witches, cackling softly..
One lost her voice, and then there were three.
bend down a finger
Three little witches, and what should one do,
But go in search of dinner, leaving only two.
bend down a finger
Two little witches stirring the cauldron for fun
One flew away, and then there was one.
bend down a finger
One little witch all alone.
She ran after a black cat, and then there was none.
bend down last finger
