a. Examine Figure 1.4 based on the room arrangement, what activities would you expect to be common in this classroom? What kinds of participation will be expected from students?
b. B. picture yourself a student in the classroom decided in figures 1,3 and 1,4. place yourself in various areas of the room. Can you see what you need to see? Now place yourself as teacher in the rooms. Can you see all students? Can you circulate freely among desks and work areas?
c. The teacher whose classroom is depicted in figure 1.4 has anticipated having twenty-eight students in her class. She has just learned that she will have at least thirty three at beginning of the year. How can she rearrange her room to accommodate the five additional students without losing the advantages of the arrangement she has designed?

For a. I would expect a lot of cooperative learning lessons.

I'm sorry, but I'm having a hard time reading figures 1.3 and 1.4. I can't differentiate between desks and work areas. The lettering is much too fuzzy.

Question: Is this an assignment that you're supposed to be working on? It reads like an assignment.

I can't speak for other members, but I think students learn more from assignments when they actually have to do the work in question.

I appreciate the fact that you've been creative enough to post this question at this site ... but how much will you really learn if other people answer these questions for you?

In figure 1.4, it would appear that the teacher in question has 7 groups of 4 desks. She's getting 5 more kids. If you were the teacher, what would you do?

Hint: Do students have to be in groups of 4?
