Anyone out there have any idea how I can get in touch with an old teacher? Google searches haven't helped. Just want to tell him what he's meant to me over the years.

Contact the school? Old phone books from your town?

No luck there. The school won't release info. about teachers who have "moved on", and he obviously isn't in the area anymore.

Have you tried classmates.com? Maybe he has put himself on there. I found my old choir director that way.

Contact the school where he used to work, or any other teachers he used to teach with, maybe they will have an idea of where he is.
