View Full Version : This one made me laugh...
I used to teach Pre-K and one of our main focuses was on beginning sounds...One day a student came up to me and said, "Miss Shannon, Charlie just said the "s" word!" Me, not thinking asked the student what the "s" word was, after looking around to make sure no one else would hear and then looking at me as if I were the stupid-est person on earth, the child replied, "ummm, f**k" I was speechless! I did all I could to hold my laughter in! I was unsure whether or not to go into the whole beginning sounds lesson or just say, "okay, thank you for telling me" Whenever I am having a bad day, I think of this incident...that student can always put a smile on my face, he is one of a kind!!

lol.
So which did you choose - the lesson or the thank-you-for-telling-me?

MrsR.....I have had that happen too! Holding in the laughter & keeping your "serious" face on is definately the hardest. Thanks for the laugh!!!! :)

Wow..how funny!
So..which one did you do? I think I'd personally have to just say "thank you for telling me" and then turn around and try not to bust out laughing!!:p
Thanks, though, I needed the laugh today:D

That is too funny. I remember the first time a student told me that someone said the s word, and I immediatly thought the worst, but when I asked what they had said the child repiled "stupid".

I think the best one in this vein I've ever had is the "I" word (idiot) I had to get the child to whisper it into my ear because they wouldn't say it otherwise!
