New job

Dear All,
Carolyne from the land of Oz. I just received an email from Teachers Corner re my absence from the forum. Life has become rather busy these past months with a new job for me, hence my absence. I am now working for an Employment Company. We help people with disabilities to find work and we also run an external school program for Year 12 students with disabilities. The program is to help them with their transition from school to the workforce. Once they leave school they can register with us and we take them through their paces to find work and once they have work we can support them in the workplace. It has been a major learning curve for me because of all the government guidelines we have to follow but it is an extremely rewarding job in all ways. I will definitely back on the site for new and fresh ideas for our next program. Cheers to all, C.:)

Hello everyone!
I riceved that mail too and so...I'm here. I'm in holiday and I'm using the computer little, but I think I'll write sometimes from now on, (maybe more than writing, I will read!)

Thank you Arteacher, My job is interesting and it is going very well, though it keeps me on my toes. We are governed by government guidelines which are as long as your arm but we do manage to understand them eventually. We begin a new program with high school students in Feb 2008 but I will be having a quick holiday before then. In the meantime my boss gets married so will be holding the fort between Christmas and the end of Jan, that will be a challenge. In case I don't get onto the forum before Christmas Merry Christmas to you and everyone on this forum. Cheers, Carolyne
