Many of the diaper & pull-up companies' websites offer good suggestions for potty training.

In my experience, pull ups are a disaster. I have yet to see a child successful at potty training by using them. Starting them on underware works...messy, lots of changes of clothes...but it works. I worked as a preschool teacher in 2 yr old class for 3 years...lots of messes.

Ditto on the no pull-ups!!! Not only did I not use them on my students, but I didn't use them for my own child either. Lots of changes of outfits and lots of messes...it's the only way to learn how to go potty (or in my son's case WHY go potty on the potty and not in one's pants). Many parents don't seem to understand that pull-ups are really just a diaper that the child can put on themselves. They have all kinds of gimmicks attached to them such as the new ones that feel cool when wet, or the ones that have designs that come out on the front when the inside is wet. It's all just a way for the diaper companies to make some extra money.

My advice, training underpants, several changes of clothes, lots of patience and a sticker chart!
