Hi,
I am the marketing manager of a company which is sponsoring
a regional association of teachers.
My boss wants me to setup a reward for all the schools that
place a weblink to our site.
What would teachers appreciate ?
Pens, Mugs .. ?
Our site is a site on careers.
Would appreciate any help comments and suggestions on how to make this project a success
Thanks

How about nice Resume covers if it is a career site?
Here's what would get my attention: How about mousepads, totebags, stretchy book covers, lanyard ID holders (to wear around neck), classroom welcome mat, teacher seat cushion, visor, CD holder for classroom use, nice looking metal clip type bookmark, hmmmmm, what else? I'm sure I'll think of more....

Those things are all nice, but they're the kinds of things vendors give us all the time. If I see another tote-bag with some company's logo on it, I will use it as a vomit receptacle.
Not really. But you get my drift.
The point here is that we like stuff that's practical. Don't give us little statuettes of big-eyes kids holding signs saying, "Teachers do it with class" or little framed photos of dolphins and some kind of inspirational quote benath. Give us something we can use, and don't make it cheap. A ball-point pen with your name on it is nice, but if it doesn't write as well as the Pilot steel-tip I already use, it will get tossed into the "borrow a pen" mug my students have come to depend on. And a mug with your company's logo might be nice, but I'm already drinking out of a mug with the name of my college on it. No way am I making THAT trade!
The best gift I get from students nowadays is Barnes & Noble gift cards. Practical and most welcome!

How about some Ray Bans, Hawaiian Shirts, Sunscreen, Beach Chairs, Beach Towels, Woven Grass Hats, Lip Balm, Can Coozies, Etc...
Get the idea?

I live in a rural area. We're two hours away from the nearest city. I don't have access to Barnes and Noble or Starbucks. An Amazon gift certificate would do quite nicely as I could order whatever I wanted on-line.

P.S. An Amazon gift certificate would also be easy to issue. All you'd have to do would be to release the certificate number and password. You could do this on-line without the fuss of having to purchase, store, and ship inventory.
Gift certificates also allow the user to purchase whatever he/she actually wants.

How about a valium salt lick for the teachers lounge?

How about a valium salt lick for the teachers lounge?
Hmmmm ... a common shared salt lick would be unsanitary.
What about Prozac in an aerosol spray can? When students get overly excited, pull out the can, aim it at the class, and FSSSSTTTTTT ... no more excited students.
