My class loves Glyphs. I have come up with many on my own. But I am so busy this time of year, I would love to find a ready made template to use. Any ideas?

I have one that came in a book of Glyphs.
It is a gingerbread man. You might be able to make it pretty easily without a template.

*What kind of cookie tastes best? (Color of gingerbread man)
brown-chocolate tan-gingerbread yellow-sugar
*What flavor milk do you like with cookies? (Belt)
stripes-chocolate dotted-plain triangles-strawberry
*How many cookies do you eat for a snack (buttons)
Actual buttons for number of cookies up to 5.
*How many letters in your first name? (Shape of eyes)
exactly 6-triangles, fewer than 6-circles, more than six-squares
*What is the best part of making cookies? (Color of mouth)
red-measuring and stirring, pink-eating the cookie dough, purple-eating warm fresh baked cookies.

What is a glyph?

Glyphs are a way of graphing a variety of information to tell a story. It is a flexible data representation tool that uses symbols to represent pieces of data.

For example:

Given a drawing of an apple, students are asked to color according to the following directions:

1. If you prefer apple juice to orange juice, color the eyes brown. If you prefer orange juice to apple juice, color the eyes blue.

2. If you prefer your apples raw, color the leaf dark green. If you prefer cooked apples (applesauce), color the leaf light green.

3. Which fruit do you like best, apples, bananas, or grapes? If you like apples best, colorr the worm blue. If you prefer bananas, colorr the worm yellow. If you prefer grapes, colorr the worm purple.

4. Is your favorite kind of apple green, yellow, or red? Color the apple accordingly.

5. If you like apples very, very much, give the apple a big happy smile. If you don't really like apples, give the apple a frown. If you like apples just a little bit, give the apple a so so look.

6. If you ate an apple today (or will have one for lunch), add eyebrows to the apple face. If you ate an apple yesterday, add eyelashes.

7. If you know the story of Johnny Appleseed, color the stem brown. If you don't know (or can't remember this story, color the stem black.
