The Thanksgiving holiday-weekend is winding down. During our time with family and friends, we have all had the opportunity to reflect on what we are thankful for. So...what are YOU thankful for?

I will get us started.
First, I am thankful for my wonderful family...I wouldn't be who I am today without my parents, sisters, husband, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Second, I am thankful for my life...I have my health, a roof over my head, and everything I really need.
Finally, I am thankful to live in the United States of America...I am so proud of the men and women of our country to continue to fight for my rights everyday.

I am thankful for my loving family... my daughters, husband, siblings, parents, and inlaws. (Yes, I said inlaws. :) I am including my brothers-in-law, nieces/nephews, and sisters-in-law also in addition to the mother-in-law/father-in-law components.)
I am thankful for my health... even if I have to lose several pounds. :) I am still a healthy person.
I am thankful for having a job that I feel fulfillment from and for the wonderful students/families that I have been in contact with.
I am thankful for living in a country that is "free" and provides rights and freedoms to its citizens.
I am thankful for all of my friends whether they be on the 'net or in person... each holds a special place in my life.
What a wonderful web site this is. I stumbled across your site whilst looking for ideas. Just a bit on my background: I live in Australia in a place called Port Lincoln which is on the Eyre Peninsular in South Australia, almost 700 klms (sorry you will have to convert to miles) from Adelaide the capital of our state. It is near the sea and has a huge fishing industry, mainly Tuna which are farmed for export in our beautiful Boston Bay.
I have been a tutor of adults with learning disabilities for 7 years. Prior to doing this work I was a hairdresser. Now you are wondering why I decided on a change of career, lots of reasons, all of which have led me into a wonderful area where I am fortunate enough to meet some lovely people. I work in our community centre and run classes each week.
My students ages range from 17 up to the 50's age group. Occasionally I tutor privately with both adults and sometimes with children.
I am thankful for my health, family and friends and being fortunate enough to live in a wonderful town full of friendly people.
Cheers, Carolyne

I'm thankful for life and no matter how hard it can get, I always keep in mind that I'm luckier than someone else and that they'd probably love to be in my shoes.
Things I'm thankful for:
Family, health, pets, roof over my head, my senses (sight, hearing, touch, taste, smell), my memory and my memories.

I'm thankful for my family, my friends and my faith. I'm thankful that I can provide for my children's needs and even some of their wants. I am thankful that we are (relatively) healthy and we love each other. I am also thankful for the lessons I learn from my students.

What a lovely gesture to say what we are thankful for...personally I am most thankful to God for everything He is to me and what he has done and will do for me! This includes my family all the way down to my students! God makes me a better person and for that I am thankful and grateful!

I am also thankful for the people in the world that are still "real" and try to "do the right thing" even when they don't have to or when no one is looking! God bless you!
