rubrics and spirals

I know what rubrics and spirals are and how they are used, but does anyone have the definition for each one. I need the definitions for a paper and cannot locate them. Thanks...:confused:

Are you talking about spiraling in curriculum? For instance a concept is introduced, worked on and then left for a while and revisited in a week or two for review and expansion?
