Ok I am wanting to become a middle school teacher. But have no idea where to start. What subjects are they're to teach for a middle school teacher? I'd like to be a spelling teacher. Should I start off as a substitute teacher or can I go straight into college to be a full time teacher?

Any info would be great!!

There are a great deal of subjects to teach in middle school. To really get a good sense of what the different subjects are, I would suggest visiting some middle school web sites. You may find that some subjects change according to state.

As for spelling, this isn't an isolated subject. It is part of language arts. This subject would include reading and writing.

Each state and/or school district has different substitute teacher requirements. Depending on your experience, you may or may not be able to be a substitute teacher. If you aren't sure what you want to do, you may consider volunteering in some classrooms to get a feel of the teaching profession. I would also recommend that you check out the Department of Education web site of the state in which you live.
