I love to cut coupons and use them to find great bargains!
I really think I enjoy the thrill of the hunt and savings at the end of my shopping trip. With sales and double coupons I love to save 50% or more of my grocery bill.
I am known around school as the coupon queen. :D
So does anyone else share my coupon addiction?

If your bargain hunting extends beyond groceries, you might check Fatwallet.com and SlickDeals.net. Personally, I'm addicted to those sites :) BE sure to go to their forums for all of the deal postings...

That would require me to a) get a paper or something that has coupons b) cut them out and c) remember to use them. But, I have a coupon caddy in my purse anyway :D

I have moved beyond the small coupon organizer into a box with my coupons in it. It was taking to much time sorting through all of them...

Hi ... I guess this is sort of like "couponing" but this year was the first year I ever engaged in rebates and actually doing the whole clip mail form wait thing. Took forever, like 8 weeks to get the money. I did it because the price was just so great and it was like a $60 rebate for one item, and $80 for another .. I was buying electronics from tigerdirect.com - they have some GREAT prices by the way, for computers an electronics and stuff and if you are willing to do rebates you can really score! One of the things I hate about rebates is the hell you have to go through (well, that I imagined) if there is a problem but (and this is probably why I actually did it) they have a guarantee system ... anyway, I fee like I put my toe in the rebate water and might swim in it more - LOL

I never seem to get rebates right. I did one for my daughter's cel phone and they sent all the stuff back saying it was night a qualifying phone yet the store gave me the info.

Yeah, I think they DEPEND upon a lot of people never going through with it or doing it right, to be honest...

That is what I really think, it looks good but many people fail to send it in or do rebates wrong so they are not out as much money as it would seem....
That is why I am much happier with coupons straight up. :)

Hi again Java...
I think it's true that they offer the extra low prices to attract more people and move more product, and after you weigh in how so many people will not finish the rebate thing, they make up for some of the profit loss they took on the extra low price ... BUT ... if you are one of the people who actually does it, you can get great deals!

I go through phases. I haven't been into couponing probably for the last year or so. Perhaps it is the whole "having two little ones under 4" thing getting to me... :)
I love getting things at a bargain but I NEVER get overly lucky with anything when it comes to bargain/coupon shopping. Now my sister... she's a star at coupon-shopping. I bow to her. :)

Of course... I just need to get more organized to start saving more with all this "free money" the newspaper and ads are sending us! haha
If only they would just give us the "free money" without us having to buy a product! LOL
I enjoy looking for the best deal I can. My husband thinks I'm nuts because I go to a few different store to look for the best deal!

As a new mom I have been doing it a lot more tha I had before. It really does add up and sve a lot of money. My mom told me that she used to do it on a large scale, she even went to cupon conventions.

I coupon, but I don't use it every time I shop. I try to save them up for my big trips. I'm really pretty good at it, too. Rebates are trickier, but I do look for them. My favorite is price-matching at Wal-Mart. I'm in a very small town that only has a Save-a-lot and one locally-owned store, so I'm driving 20 miles to the next county to find anything except the basics.

I am not very good about remembering to use coupons even thought he supermarket always gives me coupons for cat food.
In reading this thread, it suddenly occurred to me that the use of coupons might make a good life management lesson for the middle school's culinary art's program. The middle school is geared more towards the old style home economics than the high school culinary arts program which is geared towards producing students who can work in the food service industry.
Still - if I were a middle school teacher, I might have students use coupons to create a shopping list for people on a budget. The shopping list would be used to create an economical but healthy menu that could feed a person one meal for under $2.00.
Students would have to estimate how many portions they could get out of their ingredients before they could figure out the per portion cost.
High school does something similar but we don't use coupons. We use wholesale food inventories and purchase most food products in bulk i.e. onions and melons by the crate, grapes by the flat, canned products in #10 size cans by the half dozen ...

I love to clip coupons.
Then, I love sending them to all of those credit card solicitors.

I absolutely love coupons! I was an avid user of coupons when my children were smaller, I must admit I have slacked off since they have gotten older and time has become an issue with my job. I will get back to it religiously again someday..... *sigh*
It did used to save me about $30 average per payday shopping.
Happy Couponing. :D

I clip coupons from time to time; but, I forget that I had them. So many of them I've found in the bottom of my bag, stuck in a book, or anywhere else that I might have put them! By the time that I find them or remember, they have expired. :( So, it is evident that I am not a coupon addict. However, I do love sales! I have a lot of fun the day after Christmas. I buy stuff that I forget about when next Christmas comes. Here is where I'm an addict. Friends and family members come a-lookin around Christmastime because they just know that I have stuff that I've forgotten. I gotta do better! I didn't just inherit $21 million! :D
