Aloha from Maui!

Just got into Maui yesterday... barely (missed our flight, blah blah, blah). But WOW! This island is absolutely gorgeous (and we've been to quite a few). I'll get some pictures up. We are in a nice condo on Ma'alaea coast.

Got up early and had a 3 tank scuba dive. 3 minutes into the first dive - missed a 12 foot hammerhead swim by us (everyone else saw it :(). Then another 2 or 3 minutes a 6 foot white tipped reef shark swam by us (about 20 ft away)! Next dive we saw 5 spotted eagle rays. Very fun! Last dive saw lots of fish we had never seen before. Good times :)

Jennifer (the wife who runs this site) got some pics. We'll post them when we return.

I'm looking forward to the pictures! I haven't been to Maui in about eleven years, and there's really no excuse for that, especially now that there's a price war going on between the inter-island airlines.

Make sure you spend LOTS of money while you're here in our lovely state!

I have video of the shark, Jennifer got a picture of it! Love the sharks! Apparently there is also a tiger shark here in the bay someplace, that would be cool to see. Some bottlenosed dolphins were swimming alongside one of the dive boats - we heard about it over the 'cb' radio, but they were too far away for us to see :(.

Yes, we are dropping a load of cash. Got a helicoper tour tomorrow, so we can't dive again until after that is over.
