TravelingEd brings to you a FREE resource for your students to travel the world within the comforts of your own classroom. We offer unique exciting adventures for students to engage and experience a culture outside their own.
Our most recent upcoming expedition is Project Peru, www.travelinged.org/projectperu, (http://www.travelinged.org/projectperu,) where the team will travel by canoe through the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, in an effort to bring the biodiversity, cultural significance, and ever-changing landscape of the Amazon Rainforest. TravelingEd is partnering with Wilderness Classroom, www.wildernessclassroom.com, (http://www.wildernessclassroom.com,) for this upcoming adventure. Corresponding educational content, lesson plans and activities are provided on our web sites. Video clips and photos will be featured as well!!
TravelingEd is a FREE online resource through the end of this school year. Our programs are designed to engage students’ attention and develop geographical knowledge, cultural awareness and critical thinking skills while assisting teachers by adhering to the educational requirements.
On our web site, www.travelinged.org, (http://www.travelinged.org,) you will also have access to photos, travel stories, lesson plans and curriculum focusing on various subjects from math to social studies. We have created a Student World Forum to allow children to communicate and ask questions of each other from all over the world. In addition, our Vocal Locals program gives children the opportunity to share information about themselves and their culture on our website.
We hope you will join us for this enriching virtual traveling experience!
