5th grade vocabulary ideas needed

Help!
I need new and creative ideas on teaching vocabulary in my fifth grade classroom. Any suggestions for games, activities, or worksheets? I'm bored with writing the part of speech, the def., and a sentence. I am looking for new ideas...I want it to "sink" in....ha ha ha...

I'm also looking for fresh activities to use when teaching vocabulary. One thing that I do often is make crosswords and word searches on puzzlemaker.com The cross words help them learn the definitions; word searches help with spelling. The kids think they're getting by without "working" but their spelling test scores have improved since I started this!
