I used the program Kidspiration to complete a story chart for two stories. The students were asked to give the following information: setting, characters, problem, events, and solution. Then they used the information from the story charts to complete a Venn Diagram comparing and contrasting the two stories.

The students work in small groups on newspaper acticles. They write,revise,edit, and publish the stories using computer technology.

Take a digital camera along on a field trip and take pictures. Group the students together to add text to the pictures. As a whole group, sequence their "slides" together into a slide show or powerpoint presentation. Set it up on Open House night and let it run - parents and kids love it! http://www.lessonplansearch.net/ubb/smile.gif
