I'm a 23 year old 2nd year 11th grade history teacher at a very rich suburban public high school. While they are academically focussed with tons of motivation from parents, their behavior is unbelievably out of control. They team up on me and make jokes to a point where I am stunned at thier disrespect. I've even got a handful of 17 year olds who come to class after splashing water on their pants in the bathroom, just so they can run around saying "you're not cool until you pee your pants". I work hard, grade lots of papers, and even coach after school. Every day I find myself wondering why I'm wasting my time on these kids. With kids being so horrible and most of their parents (lawyers) just waiting for a juicy comeback by a teacher, what is an honest guy to do?
