I am a college student and a future teacher --(chicago))-=--i have many ideas i want to be a leading force in the education field. I want to have teacehr networks in all states. I want to have the kids come in early and stay late. I want to change famillies not only guide the children. I have many other ideas but i cant expose them at this time.
am i young and naive to think this??

Of course you are! But, that's the beauty (and sometimes the downfalls) of being a new teacher! Indeed, you will feel let down and naive at times. But, these are also the very beliefs that will pull you through at times too. I think we all want to change the world... that's why most of us got into the profession in the first place. I belive that these "naive" ideas about changing the world will become more realistic when you enter the classroom. But, you also have to hang on to them too. When you let go of them and stop believing that you're changing the world, it's time to leave the profession. I believe that every good teacher believes that they can change the world. Good luck!
