9th grade vocabulary list

Help! I am a new 9th grade english teacher. THe school I will work for does not provide a recommended vocabulary list. I am at a loss as to what words would be important to teach and necessary for future years. I have always worked with lower elementary grades. If anyone knows of a good series or of a site that recommends age appropriate words please let me know. Thank You

that tells you some vocab words that can be found in the works you will study.

Best of luck teaching freshmen! They can be a handful but are wonderful and you will have a blast with them.
