I have a story here, that I know a student did not write, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere online. Please HELP!!!
It is a mystery story about a murder massacre at Dean's Court, England (possible Wedgewood/Hedgewood)
Here is the first paragraph...
"It was a cool April night in the English countryside. Through the rain and misty fog I could hear wolves howling a bone chilling song from over the rolling hills. As I drove by the large entry gate of Dean's Court Manor, in my 1932 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, I noticed four cars parked at the start of the long and winding driveway. as I wondered why anyone would park there. Despite it being 30 years old it was amazingly reliable (or so I thought) then my car's engine sputtered and stalled..."
I would not be asking this question if it was my senior class. This mystery story was submitted by one of my ninth graders.
Please help me find this story!!!!!!!

For future reference, type a line from the story into google but put the line in quotes. Google will search for the exact line.

Don't you just love how kids get away with so much? I ask myself where the parents are.... Kids are masters at getting the grade no matter what, and while the internet has made plagerism a snap, its not often the answer to it's own problem: a place for us to find the source.

I actually show my students early in the year that google is a powerful tool for us teachers too. I just type in a line from a plagerized paper and using google I can find the source in about 3 seconds. They quickly learn that they can't get away with it in my class.

I've had to use Google for years to check my students' papers. In my first year, about a third of them were copied from the Web. That number quickly decreased when they found out I was checking for plagiarism online.

I've had to do this so often that I created a plagiarism checking Web site:

PlagiarismChecker.com (http://www.plagiarismchecker.com/)

If you've used it before and have ideas to improve the site, please let me know.
