Dear Teachers,
A question to all you teachers, I am a parent needing a little advise. My child will be in 7th grade this coming year and I would like to know what kinds of special gifts are good ideas for her teachers. I live in a high income school district, I however do not at this time have a high income. (I am now a stay home mom.)
Since a teacher would know a teacher better I thought I could get some good ideas from all of you. Last year these are some of the things I did:
Christmas: M&M Cookie Jars (where I put all the dry ingredients together and they add the wet ingredients)
Valentines: 12 roses per teacher/staff(made of Hershey's Kisses)
End of Year: Gourmet Chocolate Brownie Mason Jars
Please let me know if these were cheesy gifts.
I don't want to spin my wheels and give them stuff they don't need. They (middle school teachers) have different needs than elementary teachers do and my daughter now has 12 different teachers (I also do something for my daughter's counselor, 2 front office secretaries and 2 school nurses.) where as before she had only 4.
I personal believe teacher's are under appreciated and I want to do my part in letting them know this household appreciated all they do. Even though it is a token and not near what they deserve I want to do something.
I also want to hear if it is just stupid and am I making more of a big deal about giving gifts than I need to. I did put a lot of work into doing what I did and if they don't want it.............I want to put my efforts into something they really want or need.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
