Informed Consent:

This research examines the thoughts and feelings that go into making ethical decisions. The goal of this project is to discover how teachers make choices and if those choices change with experience. You will be asked to answer questions about ethical dilemmas, and some of these questions may be difficult to answer. The survey should take about 5 minutes to complete. By completing this survey, you are giving your informed consent as a volunteer, indicating that you understand the potential risks and benefits of this research, and are aware of your rights as a participant. Your responses will be used as part of a research project for the Master’s of Teaching program at National Louis University.

Hi Ronilyn, and welcome to TTC. I'm afraid I don't understand the question. I guess one could "live teaching," but to ask if it's worth it seems kind of silly. Could you clarify the question? I mean, nobody makes you "live teaching," so why would you do it if you didn't think it was worth it?

PS: Have you seen this thread (http://www.theteacherscorner.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2791)?

I've been teaching math and science for 15 years and I would guess that the question asked is this:
After dealing with apathetic students, parents that expect you to do the parenting, administrators that seem to assume that student's lack of effort and learning is your fault, can you still put in your best effort and think of the students that you are reaching and helping and not dwell on the negative aspects of your teaching experience? You can be a positive influence in the lives of many of your students and must realize that you can't always be successful with them all.

Beautifully stated, from beginning to end.
